Surf Expo Mania: Sept 2008

We attended the Surf Expo over the weekend. Its always good to see old friends and make some new ones. We were there to meet with clients and also took a peek at some new trends. The fall show is usually focused on wake, and kite, but skate and surf always have a strong showing. A few of our favorites, like Dragon, Spy, Nixon, Vestal, Glas, Jetty don’t exhibit in Sept, so we hope to see them again in January 09.

One highlight of the show was seeing a bunch of really great hand-painted skateboards that were being auctioned off as part of ISM: SK8OLOGY. The fundraising exhibition and auction combined the skateboard culture with the world of fine art. If only I had the money for the laser cut Andy Howell Deck.
