Some of my paddleboard designs and packaging designs for Yoloboard/YoloCoffee were featured in Beach Happy Magazine’s Spring 2021 issue in an article on our friend Jake Meyer of IWDFF. Jake’s been Yoloboard’s Creative Director for 13 years and he designs a lot of work for restaurants and businesses all along 30A/gulf coast area. I’ve known Jake probably around 20 years, but first worked together back in 2013 when he brought me in for hand drawn logos and the first of many board designs. In the years since, we’ve designed many best-selling boards for Yoloboard brand. So cool to see Jake’s other hard work featured along side some of my own. -Jeremy Kennedy

New Packaging for Yolo Coffee

In 2020, we were excited to tag team with IWDFF on Yolo Coffee’s new coffee bags. We used vintage travel posters and gulf coast sunrises as the main inspiration. Then, we focused on a classic Toyota Landcruiser decked out in Yoloboards surrounded by palm trees specific to the 30a area of the northern Florida Gulf coast.

Instead of different bags for each of the different roasts we decided on a label system to delineate the alternate roasts so that they each bag would feature the same artwork. Jake came up with the label while we focused on making the sweet land cruiser and adding other fun 30a details and a painterly touch. The three roasts they’re making right now are the SUP blend, the Sonder Blend and a Tanzanian Roast.

On the back of the bags I thought it would be fun to feature the owner of Yoloboard who has a huge passion for coffee. He’s seen below padding with his favorite pup Flea.

In addition to the illustration we were able to create a fun lockup of Yolo’s tagline “You only live once” in our signature hand drawn style with their yolo coffee man. We added it on the sides of the bags and they also used it on their website yolocoffee.com.

Onenation Coffee at Nascar

Cool to see branding we created for our friends at OneNation Coffee make its way on the #32 GoFas Ford Mustang and race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 11, 2020. OneNation partnered with the GoFasRacing team and driver Corey Lajoie.

As first responders and Veterans the crew at OneNation Coffee wanted 9-12 blended roast as a tribute to first responders and patriotic Americans who all came together after 9-11-01. The special blend boasts a smooth full body taste of a medium-dark blend, but mixed from multiple roasts to make one united tribute blend.
